The Strategic Role of Students in Promoting Transparency and Accountability in Public Services in Compliance with the Law

Abstract
This research examines the role of students in encouraging transparency and accountability of public services in Indonesia from a legal perspective. By analyzing the relevant legal framework, including Law No. 14 of 2008 concerning public information disclosure and Law No. 25 of 2009 concerning public services, this study identifies several key roles of students in realizing public services. These roles include: supervising public policies through student organizations, using social media to voice public issues, conducting community satisfaction surveys, and actively participating in public forums. This research also explores how students can take advantage of the right to access public information to carry out monitoring and encourage service improvements. The research method was carried out by collecting data to reveal the discussion contained in this article. Reference collection is carried out by studying and reviewing a number of books, journals, and documents both in print and online and several other sources of data and evidence that are considered relevant and credible to the object of study. The results of the analysis show that students have a strategic position to contribute to realizing good government governance through increasing transparency and accountability of public services. This study concludes that the active role of students, supported by the existing legal framework, can be an important catalyst in encouraging public service reform in Indonesia.
